Backyard Monsters: Unleashed was KIXEYE's first venture into mobile. A port of the original Backyard Monsters, it stream-lined the original game and content and was KIXEYE's first touch based mobile RTS.

UX DESIGNER
With my considerable experience with BYM, I was brought into refine the User Experience and its translation into mobile. The first thing that we did was reduce the game loops and user flows that wouldn’t fit the mobile space and trimmed down a bloated game that had lasted several years of live updates. Clunky nuanced systems that user’s had adapted to were unified and updated for mobile devices. UI’s and dialogues were converted to account for touch interfaces for both iPhone and iPad.
